FIVE Days to Go!!!

Oy, FIVE more days to go!!  I do hope you have been getting your wrapping finished.  Okay, I know that I have some wishful thinking going on here when many of you haven't even finished shopping.  Let's be honest, some of my friends are just getting started with their shopping.  If you are in that same boat, then let me help you with a few last minute ideas from the handmade shops on Etsy.  I have perused the Etsytwitter Team shops today to look for some goodies.

To start out I found this very cool little pendant (since I am an avid Potter fan, I couldn't pass this one up) in the Pretty Whimsical shop.  Perfect for any of those teen/tween girls on that long list.

Now what about that co-worker??  I found this adorable desk calendar from Maddesign and I believe it would be the perfect gift for that person who has everything.
2012 Desk Calendar
I found some adorable little lollipop ornaments in the shop called From Nancy's Heart.  These are so cute that you could use them when you tie the bow on the package serving as a decoration and a little extra gift for their tree.

Look at these great Lavender Rose lip balms from Aquarian Bath.  These would be super great stocking stuffers for that special morning or how about giving to your mail person, your pet groomer, your most important hair dresser, your massage therapist (yes, some people have a regular), or even your neighbor.

Here is an awesome idea!  Pick up some of these great cup sweaters from Kim White Creations to use for gifts to some of your friends who love to drive thru that local coffee shack on their way to work or play.  Stick a gift card from that coffee shack inside it and you are all set!

If you need to look a little more, please search Etsytwitter Team on Etsy to find more handmade goodies from this hard working team.

Good luck on finalizing that list!

Bridesmaids for Fall

I just finished another order for a little bride planning to be married in Key West later this Fall.  She has selected some beautiful pieces that I would like to share with you.

She is having a persimmon strapless dress for each bridesmaid and selected these necklaces for them to wear.  Brown, tan, and ivory colored glass pearls all mixed with various crystals in tan and copper colors create a lovely blend of warm colors.  The earrings are always included for free with the purchase of a selection of bridesmaid jewelry.

I love her choices and wanted to share this with you.  She will send us a finished picture of the big day!  Personally, I believe I should actually head to Florida and visit Key West to ensure all jewelry is worn correctly, don't you???

Etsy Twitter Team Shop of the Week - Pretty Whimsical

The Etsy Twitter Team features a different member each week to be in the spotlight.  This week is Pretty Whimsical and I must admit that I just want to order one of everything when I peruse her shop.  She has such wonderful little scrabble tile pendants and she has made something that will be a perfect gift for each and every one of your friends.

I spent the day outside today--the entire day for the first time this year--and I am once again enthralled with Mother Nature and her wonders.  When I shopped through the Pretty Whimsical shop I found some gorgeous pieces that reminded me of nature and the great outdoors.

Bee Collage

I found this gorgeous collage featuring a bee and the illusion of a honey comb and many flowers.  This piece comes in an organza bag and is ready to slip on to a ball chain and is only $7.95.  That is a great price for such a work of art.

Hummingbird Pink Flower
Next I found an adorable little hummingbird with it's little beak stuck in a pink flower.  The hummingbird and flower are vivid colors with a really nice antiqued background that truly makes the foreground pop with color.  Again the price is right.

Day at the Beach
My last selection was a tough one to make.  In keeping with the nature theme I found some Koi fish in a pond, more birds, bees, etc., but finally settled on the beach picture for those of you near the shores.  Just a wonderful way to spend the day!!

Stop by Stacey's shop this week and see what you can find.  She has a special for us:

Use coupon code: FREECHAIN
to receive a 24"   silver ball chain with each pendant ordered.
(Yes, she does ship internationally.)

I will also list her other venues so you can 'like' her, 'follow' her . . . you get the picture.

Etsy Twitter Team Shop of the Week - Abby Chase Designs

The newest Etsytwitter team Shop of the Week was just announced and it is Abby Chase Designs so I did a quick preview of her shop to see if I could find some unique items to share with you.  You know I did or we wouldn't be here.

I remember riding with my Dad in the car and every time he put his seat belt on he hooked a clothespin up by the top.  When I asked him why he did that he said the belt always rubbed his neck too much.  Well, since then I, too, have found that same issue in different vehicles.  Abby Chase has solved our dilemma with a little style and flair!
Adult Seat Belt Covers in choice of colors
And if that wasn't clever enough look at these:
Baby Seat Belt Covers
We are all aware of how protective new mothers are with their babies.  This is a wonderful touch!

Now check out what I found in her shop; and we all know how handy these little devils will be.
Incognito Tampon Wallet
You just can't get any more discreet than that.  And I also want to point out that when you do need these little personal protection aids, they won't be in the bottom of your purse halfway ripped out of the wrapper and need to be blown off before you can use them!!  Now don't even try to tell me you don't know what I'm talking about!  We have all been there, done that!

If you are a seamstress and want to make your own, she also sells the tutorials in her shop for all of her items.  You can make them for the holidays or birthdays for all your friends!!  But for those of you who do not want to sew or can't--slip on over to her shop this week.  She has specials!!!  Who doesn't love a good special??

Just for this week,
AbbyChaseDesigns is offering

Etsy Twitter Team Shop of the Week - Faerytale Wings Art

You know all those little pictures in the back of books that tell you to draw a copy of the picture and send it in to go to art school??  Did you ever try it?  Well, I have and I want you to know that my picture didn't look quite right--thus my love of abstracts.  Well, let me introduce you to the Etsytwitter Team's Shop of the Week - Faerytale Wings Art - aka Lydia and Curtis Kinsey.  I doubt that Lydia did the drawing, but if she did, it matched perfectly!  Her skill with a pencil is phenomenal.
I love to buy art for my daughters and started when they were young.  Faerytalewings has some great ACEO's in their shop that would be perfect for starter art work for your child.  And the price is right as well.  Check out the princesses starting with the newest princess on the scene:

Tiana The Princess and the Frog ACEO

My all time favorite from Sleeping Beauty:
Make it Blue Princess Aurora
Or everyone's underdog:
Cinderella
Each one of these gorgeous creations are only $5.  Now wouldn't that be great tucked in an Easter basket?  But wait, there's more . . . they are offering a special this week only.

Etsy Twitter Team Shop of the Week - Aquarian Bath

Cory Trusty of Aquarian Bath is the Etsy Twitter Team shop of the week!  Congrats to Cory!!  I love her shop and drift in there regularly to stock up on goodies.

As the name implies, she makes and carries a wide array of bath products, but I love the other items she carries.  For example, I use an eye pillow at night to sleep.  I hate having lights wake me or keep me awake and I love the aroma from the pillows.  I ordered a great eye pillow from her shop and she will even make them in different colors if you have a preference.  Check this one out:
Eye Pillow with Organic Lavender & Organic Flax

Also, check out the great neck wrap for those days that you have strained or tensed a little too much.
Microwavable Lavender Flax Neck Wrap

I believe the fact that she grows most of her own herbs is important so you know she is accurate when she says 'organic' on her labels.  She even sells seeds on her website so you, too, are able to grow your own herbs.  She has three kinds of basil seeds available, but I am drawn to this one.
Thai Basil Seeds
Among her many and unique items I have found I absolutely LOVE her solid perfumes.  A tiny bit goes a long way and they last forever.  You don't have to smell like everyone else when you order your own unique perfume from Cory.  I have tried this one and found it to be unique.
Jasmine Sambac Perfume
I forgot to close it one day and left it sitting on the counter in my bathroom and found it to be a rather lovely room freshener as well.

Stop by Cory's shop to check out her other goodies.  I know you will find some lovely gift items to help you stock up for the holidays.

She has a special running for her Shop of the Week, she will include a package of seeds of your choice with each purchase.  Mention "Etsytwitter Team SOTW" in notes to seller and let her know which seeds.

Bella Bead Jewelry is the Shop of the Week

I am now part of the Etsy Twitter Team and as part of this team we each feature the current Shop of the Week in our blog.  I am excited to be part of this team and even more excited to introduce you to some new Etsy shops.

Check out Bella Bead Jewelry on Etsy this week.  She is offering 15% off for the week of July 26th.
Sinner or Saint?

Bella Bead Jewelry makes gorgeous lampwork beads as well as precious metal clay charms.  This double sided charm shows the dichotomy between sinner and saint.  Imagine using this in one of your pieces to create a necklace or bracelet with a certain style.

Created by proprietor, Linda Lawrence, of Bella Bead Jewelry.  Her art and the Etsy shop in which she sells it, are only one of the creative sides to her life. During the day, Linda is an art teacher in a local elementary school and, as she puts it, she "plays with fire by night!"

Linda also creates finished jewelry with her beads and charms that will thrill you with the richness of her talent.  Check out her shop, her blog and follow her on Twitter!  You will be glad you did.

Gorgeous creation using fine silver and lampwork beads.

This is the last week for my Christmas in July sale!  I wanted to give you a little reminder.  There are some great prices in that category.  Some $5 earrings are available.  All orders over $25 will receive FREE shipping!  I love free, don't you?

They aren't all just Holiday earrings, but I'm trying to get you in the mood first!
$5 pair --- don't wait too long!

I love to have all my holiday shopping finished early so I am able to just relax and enjoy the holidays when they arrive.  Now, I don't have them wrapped, but at least I use the sales all year to get the purchasing part out of the way.

Make a list of gifts you need to have for the holidays; then start buying a few a month and soon you will be well under way.

Then all you will need to worry about will be what cookie and candy recipes you will want to try.

Browse Etsy for the christmasinjuly or cij tags and you will discover a world of hand crafted gifts for this year.

Happy Shopping!!
